About Us

A family, a garden,
and a lot of patience.

Born in the tea-growing landscape of Biswanath Chariali in Assam and nurtured by a family deeply connected to the craft, Hatipoti Tea began with a simple ambition — to grow and create tea of our own.

What started with our family exploring land, learning the craft and developing their first harvest has grown into a family-run tea estate with an 18-year history.

Today, the second generation is carrying that legacy forward, bringing our estate-grown tea to your cups. With control over our own garden and the making of our tea, we stay closely connected to every stage of the journey.

The Journey

to a garden of our own.

The land

In 2008 our family set out to build a tea garden of their own, exploring land and understanding the possibilities of tea.

First harvests

Early samples and first harvests — every stage a lesson in the craft of tea, learned season by season.

The estate

What began as exploration grew into a family estate shaped by patience, seasons and years of learning.

A new chapter

Eighteen years on, the second generation is taking the tea grown here into homes across India.

We Grow It.
We Make It.

Because the garden and the making are both ours, we stay close to every stage — from fresh green leaf to the finished granule that reaches your cup.

That control is the whole point. It is what lets us stand behind the freshness, the strength and the character of what we sell.

FAMILY

The Second Generation

Taking the garden
beyond the estate.

For eighteen years, our tea has travelled through the trade and out of our hands. What my father and uncle began as a passion project in 2008 is now entering its next chapter — making Hatipoti a brand of its own and bringing the tea we’ve grown beyond the estate, straight to the people who love, understand and appreciate a good cup of tea.

For me, this is more than building a brand. It’s about carrying forward something my family built with care, and bringing a little piece of home with it.
