A full, rich cup of Hatipoti Assam CTC tea

In the Cup

Bold, brisk,
unmistakably Assam.

A deep coppery liquor with a malty, full-bodied strength. It takes milk without thinning out and holds its character to the last sip.

Because the leaves are naturally rich, you need fewer of them — a full cup from less tea, so a pack goes further than you expect.

Reviews

What the cup says

“This tea has a bold, hard-edged character that immediately stands out. Its earthy flavour gives it a rustic identity, while the texture feels raw and authentic.

I found it particularly well suited for blending with lemon and honey, which complement its natural intensity without masking its distinctive profile.

What I appreciate most is its sharpness — it delivers a clean, assertive finish that lingers on the palate, making it a memorable cup for those who enjoy robust, earthy teas.”

Chef Atul LahkarChef

“I’ve been having this as my morning chai for the past couple of weeks and honestly, I really like it. The tea has a nice strong flavour without becoming too bitter, and I don’t need to use a lot of it to get a proper cup. Definitely one of those teas you can have every day.”

Tinat HazarikaCustomer

“Being from Assam, I’m quite particular about my tea, so I wasn’t expecting much initially. But Hatipoti surprised me. It has that proper original Assam Tea flavour — strong, aromatic and full-bodied. Also loved knowing that it actually comes from a family-owned garden.”

“My kitchen is not allowing me to have anything other than Hatipoti.”

Questions

Good to know

Where can I buy Hatipoti tea?

Our Assam CTC tea is sold on Amazon India. Every buy button on this site takes you straight to the listing.

What does CTC mean?

Crush, Tear, Curl — the method that turns the leaf into small granules. It is what gives Assam tea its strength, colour and quick brew, and it is what most Indian households drink every morning.

How much tea should I use per cup?

Start with one level teaspoon per cup. Our tea is naturally rich, so most people find they use less than they are used to.

Is this the same tea sold at the estate?

Yes. It is grown on our own garden in Biswanath Chariali and made at the source, then packed and sent out under our own name.

From our garden to your cup.
